How this draw works

Seeded result, no server account

The current seed is AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. The share link stores this seed, the participant names, Classic or Balanced mode, and the remainder rule in #d=. Opening that link recomputes the same draw locally.

Run it in minutes

How to run your World Cup 2026 sweepstake

01

Add names

Paste one participant per line. The tool supports 2 to 48 people and keeps the draw local in your browser.

02

Draw teams

Use Classic random by default, or opt in to Balanced by pots to spread teams from each pot more evenly.

03

Share or print

Copy the result, share the link so everyone sees the same draw, or print a simple kit for the office.

Verifiable, explained

Is this draw fair?

The draw is recomputed from the seed, participant list, mode, and World Cup team data in the share link. Anyone who opens that link sees the exact same allocation from the same inputs.

A shared link verifies the inputs used for that shared result. A commit-reveal flow belongs to a later advanced version; Round 1 keeps the wording to “Verifiable draw”.

Useful after the draw

Sharing & printing your sweepstake

The Share link stores the seed and names in the URL fragment, not on a server. Participants can open it to see the same result without signing in.

Print uses your browser’s print dialog and a light stylesheet with the allocation table, team cards, rules notes, sources, and disclaimer.

FAQ

World Cup sweepstake FAQ

How do I split 48 teams between 5 people?

Round-robin gives 3 people 10 teams and 2 people 9 teams. Who gets the extra teams is decided by the seeded draw.

Is the draw fair?

The result comes from the seed and inputs in the share link, so anyone opening that link can verify the same result is produced.

Is it free? Do I need to sign up?

It is free and no sign-up is required. We never collect, hold, or handle money, stakes, entry fees, or prizes.

Are office World Cup sweepstakes legal?

Laws vary by location. This tool only assigns teams; any money is organised offline by participants, and you are responsible for local gambling, lottery, and tax rules.

How do I share the result with colleagues?

Draw teams, choose Share link, and send the copied URL. Anyone who opens it sees the same allocation.

Disclaimer

This is a free, for-entertainment tool that randomly assigns teams to names for an office or home sweepstake. We never collect, hold, or handle money, stakes, entry fees, or prizes — any pot is organised, collected, and paid out between participants offline. You are responsible for complying with the gambling, lottery, and tax laws where you live.

UK (Great Britain): to stay within the Gambling Act 2005 work/residents' lottery exemption, run your draw in person among colleagues or residents at a single premises, take no private-gain cut (proceeds may go to prizes or to a good cause), and keep ticketing within that same group. Northern Ireland has separate rules.

US: office pools are regulated state by state — keep it social, take no cut of the pot, and check your state's rules.
